By eliminating traditional MOLLE and PALS webbing, along with bulky metal snaps, the 6/12 system achieves a 20%-40% weight reduction in standard Assaulter configurations compared to current pocket attachment systems. Although compatible with MOLLE, the 6/12 platform is not primarily designed for it.
