Elevate Your GLOCK with the Magpul D-50 GL9

PMAG D-50 GL9 – GLOCK
PMAG D-50 GL9

The Magpul D-50 GL9 – GLOCK is a lightweight yet incredibly strong 50-round drum magazine designed for 9x19mm Parabellum, double-stack 9mm GLOCK handguns, such as the Glock 17, Glock 19, and most clones. Its large capacity of 50 rounds makes it significantly larger than standard Glock magazines, which typically hold 15 to 17 rounds. The D-50 GL9 – GLOCK weighs 17.1 oz (484 g) when unloaded. It measures 8.7” in height, 4.2” in width, and 3.5” in depth.

The PMAG D-50 GL9 – GLOCK incorporates many of the proven features from its predecessors, the PMAG D-60 AR/M4 and PMAG D-50 LR/SR GEN M3, offering users a similar increase in magazine capacity. Its unique drum configuration maintains a manageable height, allowing for easier storage. The magazine is equipped with a unique ratcheting loading mechanism to efficiently load all 50 rounds without the need for excessive force or complicated loading procedures. The Ratcheting Loading Lever takes tension off the internal spring for easy loading by hand.
Also designed to be left loaded for long-term storage with no degradation of function.

The increased capacity of up to 50 rounds makes it a perfect solution for recreational shooting or shooting training. To help you track your remaining ammunition, the magazine features a rounds-remaining rear anti-glare translucent window, a high-visibility follower, and a capacity indication roller.

Maintenance

The Magpul D-50 GL9 – GLOCK is easy to maintain. For cleaning you can disassemble it with only a flat-bladed screwdriver or a similar flat-bladed tool. Its slip-on, semi-rigid dust cover prevents grit and debris intrusion during storage and transport. It boasts a reliable and durable design, its body is constructed from impact and crush-resistant reinforced polymer and its internal mechanisms are made of steel.

This ensures both lightweight handling and long-lasting durability. Additionally, all components are corrosion-resistant, further enhancing its reliability.

For GEN 1-3 GLOCK-pattern handguns, it is recommended to install a new OEM magazine release to support the magazine’s extra weight. GEN 4-5 GLOCK-pattern handguns will require an aftermarket metal magazine release. Additionally, installing a new recoil spring assembly is strongly recommended to ensure reliable feeding, with some firearms possibly requiring an extra power recoil spring.

Also, the use of the D-50 GL9 in pistol caliber carbines (PCC) is not recommended due to the increased length of the feed tower, which can be partially unsupported in most PCC magazine wells. This can lead to premature wear and feeding issues. The PMAG D-50 GL9 – PCC (MAG1137) is preferred for PCC applications.
