The Geonyx from Safran offers altitude and heading information for various systems, including weapon systems, (rocket) artillery, observation systems, and a wide array of vehicle platforms. With the introduction of Geonyx M, the powerful capabilities of Geonyx are now available for high-speed sea-going platforms. It is designed for use on both amphibious vehicles and speed boats, with or without GNSS.
One of the key advantages of the Geonyx M is that it can be quickly converted from sea to land navigation, when applied to amphibious vehicles. When the amphibious vehicle reaches the shore, the operator transitions the Geonyx M into land mode. In addition to navigation, the versatile Geonyx M system can also feed its information for onboard weapon systems, a BMS, or external systems.
Robustness and reliability
The Geonyx M system seamlessly integrates into various vehicles or ships, serving as a primary AHRS/INS system, particularly well-suited for amphibious applications. Designed to endure harsh environmental conditions, including vibrations, shocks, diverse climates, and radio environments. The incorporation of the embedded HRG Crystal (Hemispherical Resonator Gyro) makes Geonyx M one of the most reliable INS available in the market.
