The Photochromic coating absorbs direct, or light filtered through an aircraft windscreen to activate the photochromic molecules causing the lens to darken or lighten when exposed or removed from light. This enables users to manage variable lighting conditions with one visor, making it ideal for diverse field scenarios.
With a clear light transmission rate of 85% PLT, there is potential compatibility with certain laser eye protection (LEP) filters.
In its darkened state, the lens maintains a neutral gray appearance while featuring Gentex’s proprietary scratch-resistant hard coating on the exterior and MGAF Anti-Fog treatment on the interior surface—all designed for durability and performance in demanding situations.
