This Privacy Statement applies to the processing by COBBS Industries of all personal data of (prospective) customers, suppliers and business partners and individuals that visit www.cobbsindustries.com or contact us. COBBS Industries processes all personal data that falls within the scope of this Privacy Statement as a data controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).

When you purchase our products and services

This includes services like reporting you on the status of your order and keeping your purchase history. Because of our strict safety policy procedures, COBBS Industries will only provide confidential product information to persons acting on behalf of an official government body. When you request confidential product information, we process your name and email address to verify this.

When you use our online Order Portal

COBBS Industries offers contact persons of customers and suppliers a secure online order portal that can be accessed via our website (the Order Portal). When you are the contact person of your organization, we process your name and email address to send you an email that allows you to activate an account for the Order Portal. If you choose to activate your account, we process your personal account login information to administer your account and make sure your account is confidential and secure. For example, we can change your password for you. We note that we are not able to view your password.

To protect our or others’ rights, property or safety or to comply with the law

In rare situations, COBBS Industries may use your personal data to protect our or others’ rights, property or safety or to comply with laws and regulations. For example, we may need to disclose your personal data to government institutions or supervisory authorities if this is required by law.

In some cases, for instance in relation to product purchases, applicable law may require us to store your data for a longer time period. Generally, we will keep your personal data relating to your COBBS Industries Order Portal account until you ask us to delete the account, inform us of a change in contact person or until the agreement with your employer has terminated or expired. If you have signed up for our newsletter, we will keep your name and email address until you unsubscribe.

Who has access to your personal data?

COBBS Industries is a European organization with several group companies. Data we collect may be transferred within our organization. Our employees are only authorized to access personal data if this serves the applicable purpose, to perform their jobs and are bound by contractual confidentiality obligations.
