Tactical Electronics has been a reliable resource in providing law enforcement agencies and trend-setting military groups with the technology and training needed to excel in real-world challenges.
Their goal is “to preserve this world by protecting those who protect us”. They do this by designing tactical camera systems and EOD equipment, teaching multiple-levels of EOD and electronics courses, providing R&D services, or designing and manufacturing IED training aids.
In this blog you can learn more about their new Swift Camera’s who are very useful on several inspection missions.
SWIFT FLEX CAMERA
The SWIFT Flex Camera is a handheld inspection tool that features a flex-and-stay neck. You can choose from three different camera head options to best suit your mission.
- The Visible SWIFT Flex Camera: has a color CMOS sensor, excellent low-light sensitivity, and integrated LED illumination. The camera has a diameter of 12mm.
- The Thermal SWIFT Flex Camera: features a Long Wave Infrared (LWIR) FLIR thermal imager. The camera has a diameter of 17mm.
- The Dual SWIFT Flex Camera: features both a color CMOS sensor and a FLIR thermal imager. The camera has a diameter of 25mm.
The captured videos can be viewed with the integrated 1-inch eyepiece. Streaming the videos is wirelessly possible through the internal WiFi radio or by hardwired connection through the Tactical Accessory Port (TAP). The SWIFT Flex Camera features a rugged, locking Tactical Accessory Port (TAP) that provides USB 2.0, 100Mbps Ethernet, and 12VDC power.
SWIFT POLE CAMERA
The Swift Pole Camera is a compact camera that can quickly be deployed and provides low light and thermal video at an extended reach. It is available in two sizes: the 1.0 meter extended and the 1.75 meters extended. There are two image sensors within the camera head: a visible 640×480 CMOS image sensor with excellent low-light sensitivity (16V/lux-sec) bolstered by on-board 950nm Infrared illumination, and a FLIR Long-Wave Infrared (LWIR) sensor with 160×120 resolution. Video from these two sensors provides two distinct views for the operator: a color low-light view and a white-hot thermal view.
Videos are displayed in dual-view on the attached 4.0-inch LCD Monitor, located on the SWIFT Pole Camera’s handle. Each pole can collapse down to 13 inches (1.0 meter version) and 18 inches (1.75 meter version). The system includes a Tactical Accessory Port (TAP) providing both USB and Ethernet connectivity for video streaming support, and an optional 5GHz WiFi radio with global regulatory approval.
SWIFT UNDER DOOR CAMERA
The SWIFT Under Door Camera is compact enough to fit within a Double M4 Mag Pouch. It features up to four individual cameras located within a .26 inch thick insertion panel. The SWIFT Under Door Camera provides viewing in four directions inside a room: forward, upward/backward, left, and right. Each direction is supplemented with 950nm Infrared LED illumination for both low-light & no-light environments.
The camera is equipped with a Tactical Accessory Port (TAP) which provides USB and Ethernet connectivity as well as an auxiliary 12VDC power input. Thanks to the integrated USB and Ethernet ports and on-board 5GHz Wi-Fi it is possible to stream videos to any Tactical Electronics.
SWIFT VIDEO SCOPE
The SWIFT Video Scope has an 8mm distal tip and 4-way articulation. The video scope is available with a 12-inch or 24-inch long probe. You can view the video through the built-in eyepiece, but also on any tactical electronic monitor, or an Android device with the TE View mobile app. The 8mm distal tip provides illumination by an adjustable internal 400nm UV LED. The camera head can move in four directions (160º up, 130º down, 100º left/right).
The SWIFT Video Scope features a rugged, locking Tactical Accessory Port (TAP) that provides USB 2.0, 100Mbps Ethernet, and 12VDC power in.
